I'm writing today from Seattle...hanging out with Lisa and Betsy, and Katherine tomorrow. It's great to be back in the old 'hood, even if it is just for 3 days. That's right I spent almost $700 to fly out West for a mini college reunion. Sounds silly, but I've been wanting to come out here for some time now and I've actually made it! Credit debt be damned!! Once I get a job it'll all be okay...wait prolly not so much, since it is DC and you don't get paid shit for doing pretty important work. I think it's important, anyways, although the holders of the purse-strings wouldn't seem to agree, and thus I am not remunerated at a level that is to my liking. At least I'll have health insurance! I was telling Lisa yesterday that I could have cancer and wouldn't know it, since I can't afford to go get checked out. 27 years old and unable to take care of myself, that's exactly what I'd imagined for myself when I was just a wee lass. Waa waa waa! Whatever I'll get over it.
I'm having fun here with my dear friends and it's a beautiful day, so I'm just gonna enjoy myself and relax. That's my new mantra...RELAX. I have to actively try to relax, as my natural state is really wound-up and high-strung...I am a Capricorn after all! Born in the year of the horse to boot! So here I go, off to relax. No if only I could find Lisa....
